Evie & Des
Out of all the weddings i’ve shot the thing we all hope for is fantastic weather, and on Evie & Desmonds big day, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky!
First stop was Evie’s parents house. My first port of call is capturing the detail shots. Dress, ring, flowers etc. Downstairs the craic was in full flight as Evie and her two sisters sipped on a few glasses of bubbly whilst Shauna Lyness @youmephotographyni and I shot some candid shots in the background.
Next stop, Desmonds mums house which was about 15 minutes away to capture the lads getting ready. After a good pint of stout and some family shots I was back to Evie’s for some final shots. Walking down the stairs is always an emotional moment.
Off to St Peters for the ceremony. Ive shot here quite a few times and there’s some great spots to film the vows from. I mic’d up Des for some clean audio for the vows and despite the large crowd was able to get some epic drone shots before shooting off to the palace in Armagh. I think we arrived about 4 minutes before everyone, so I was able to capture the wedding cars arriving from the air. Some family and solo shots then off to the Hillgroove in Monaghan.
The interior of the Hillgroove is literally stunning and the venue is great for filming speeches because it’s so large. The speeches were short and sweet with Evie’s father having the audience in stitches laughing! A very romantic first dance along with some fun on the dance floor concluded this epic day.
